RNB Global University celebrated National Science Day to explore new horizons and push scientific frontiers further with the theme of “Science for the people & people for the science”. Aim of the event was to encourage scientific temperament among young students and create curiosity regarding new ideas and explore latest trends in Science and Technology.
Mr. Brij Gopal Vyas, Rtd. Senior Scientist, PHED was the chief guest of the opening ceremony. In his opening remark, Mr. Yyas demonstrated the value and importance of science in day to day life. Ms. Shilpi Garg, Associate Professor, BITS Palani was Guest of honour of the function. She threw light on Bio mimicry and discussed her research work on Malaria in Rajasthan.
In the second session, Dr. Pushpendra Pratap Singh discussed about horticulture and its development in Rajasthan. Dr. Manoj Sanwal, inspired the students about the importance of Science day and motivated students for better future in science. Mr. Rubal Sharma, Ms. Pratibha Shourya and Mr. Ravikannt Soni were awarded as winners of the competition. The most entertaining part of the day was the skit performed by the students in which they raised question on Superstitions and beliefs of people and how Science remove these disbeliefs from Society.
Myriad of competition were organized on this day like Scientific Debate, Poster Making and many more. This series of illustrated posters summarized the milestone discoveries and inventions in various areas of science over the years. Students of SOBAS and SOET Presented Research and review Papers on various topics based on emerging trends in Science and technology for sustainable development.
