Students of School of Law, RNB Global University visited the District Court of Bikaner. The purpose of the visit was to understand the working of a court, the nature of duties of the judicial officers.
Hon’ble District & Session Judge Mr. Rajendra Kumar Pareek addressed the students and started his discussion with the original and appellate jurisdiction of the court. At that time a criminal case related to the Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substance Act 1985 named “State V/S Buta Singh “was discussed. In that Case evidence of a police officer was going on. Mr. Umashankar Sharma, Reader of District & session court briefed the students with daily cause list and other clerical works, which are equally important to know for a law student.
After that students moved towards Motor accidental claim Tribunal, constituted under Motor vehicle act 1988. After having great learning experiences in two court rooms students visited the Additional District & Sessions Court, having special charge of matters related to Prevention of children from sexual offences Act 2012.Students put several questions relating to the practical aspect of law and legal field. Importance of camera trial was also told to the students.
At last students also visited District Legal service Authority, Bikaner, which is made for the free legal aid to the weaker sections of the society. Being an infant among the law fraternity of the country, the School of Law is optimistic to repeat such type of learning programme for its learners by learning from the mistakes and screening the positives out of negatives with an eye giving birth to a ‘learned community’ having a point of their learning in RNB Global University, Bikaner, Rajasthan.
