RNB Global University organised the Third Annual HR Conclave on December 14, 2018 at the University campus. The event brought together eminent professionals from the industry on a common stage where they shared their experiences and knowledge pertaining to HRM. The Conclave provided a platform for the students of the University to interact with panellists and exchange experiences and practices in the field of HRM.
The panel discussion was on “Skill Gap Analysis for Future Workforce in India - Reasons & Remedies”. The panellists were Mr. Debasis Sil -Ex-GM-HR-GAIL (India) Ltd, Mr. Abhiskek Modi, Startup Oasis, Mr. Surender Yadav, Dist Project Manager, National Urban Livelihood Mission, Hanumangarh and Ms. Shrutika Bhartia, Business Development Executive, Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council.
The discussion revolved around the uses of Skill Gap analysis which eventually helps in tackling problems of recruitment renegotiations, attrition, improving efficacy of induction programmes and overall productivity. The discussion was followed by a question-and-answer round. The panellists further discussed the important parameters that help improve employee engagement, measurement of happiness index, effectiveness of employee engagement surveys and cultural inclusivity within organisations. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Pallav Goswami, Assiatant Professor, RNB Global University, Bikaner.
The panel discussions were followed by individual presentations by the panellists in which they highlighted that how rapid changes in technology is influencing people and their workplaces. Mr. Debasis mentioned how the field of HR has substantially evolved with time and has embraced technology for day-to-day activities of recruiting, skill development of employees and performance reviews. Ms. Shrutika Bhartia further talked about the rising role of analytics in HR and how an overwhelming amount of effort goes into practical field.
The University has been engaging such illustrious corporate leaders on campus since inception to encourage a stimulating academic environment for the students, which is in synergy with the industrial adoptions. Through the HR Conclave, RNBGU envisions an efficient nexus of experiential sharing and learning reception.
