Sanjna Kapoor, an Indian theatre personality and former Indian film actress of British and Indian descent, daughter of late Shashi Kapoor, visited RNB Global University on March 14, 2019.
The famous theatre artist motivated the students by sharing her views on success and her experience about life and strife of her career. She quoted, "Instead, I grew up watching Bergman, Kurosawa and other masters. So running around trees was not for me," she laughed when she recollected her experience as an actress in Ketan Mehta's Hero Hiralal and Mira Nair's Salaam Bombay". Ms. Kapoor also discussed her journey with the Prithvi Theatre, the Mecca of experimental theatre in Mumbai, in which she said that decision of closing down the Prithvi theatre was the most difficult decision of her life.
Post this, Mr. Shivam Pugaliya and Ms. Twinkle Mamnani, members of Information and Broadcasting forum of the University, conducted a beautiful interview in front of the large audience and asked many questions related with her passion, experience and dreams. Students could not hide their enthusiasm and turned into shutterbugs as they seized the opportunity of clicking the Selfie with Stars. The students showed their gratitude for making a life time experience for them and left them enriched. Mr. Shambha Ji Bhagat, Famous Theatre personality expressed his views on theatre and politics through a beautiful poetry, which mesmerized the audience.
These kinds of events are worth experiencing for the students who get to learn from the lives of the people who have lived their life enterprising. So the University students experienced refreshing and rejuvenating after interacting with Ms. Sanjana Kapoor.
