RNB Global University, School of law continuously organizing various extracurricular activities like national level Moot court Competition, Mock United Session, Mock Parliament and various seminars and conferences. In this series another milestone has been added by this open house session in the history of law study in western Rajasthan. Two eminent personality in the field of law has been invited for this open house session. The topic for this open house session was Legal Education.
Chief guest of this session were Prof. (Dr.) Ranbir Singh Vice-Chancellor of national Law University, New Delhi and Prof.K.P.S. Mahalwar – Guest Speaker of National Law University, New Delhi. The session started with the welcome and felicitation of guests. After the brief introduction of guest’s session started by Prof Ranbir Singh. Dr. Singh put some light on the importance of research work in the field of study of law and career. For a law student it is very important to understand the application of research in the profession of advocacy and the other career related to the law, Prof. Ranbir Singh said. Dr. called students for starting the research work from the beginning of first semester. He explained the difference between ordinary and extraordinary and for success in present time we must do some extra work to become extraordinary. Dr. Ranbir motivated the students to be academically sound , technically competent and socially responsible.
After the address of Prof Ranbir Singh another important guest of the open house session Prof K P S Mahalwar focused on the aims of legal education in India.He confirm that-
Legal profession has always been considered as a noble profession as lawyers are the centre pillars of the society who help the common man to know his rights and claim them legally.
We need legal education to fulfil the needs of the society and country as well because lawyers are the persons who interpret the law and deals directly with the entire society.
Modern legal education in India was started by the British and its principal aim was to acquaint Indians with rules of law which would help them in the administration of the country.
After these two important speeches students asked many questions related to crear in law, ways to get success in law field, secrets of success of various national law universities in India, exaggerated fines in new motor vehicle act, reasons for delay in Justice in India etc, which was suitably answered by the guests.
By this kind of session students have got the knowledge about the position of legal education in India and the primary aim of legal education at the time was to equip law students so that they could help the lower courts and the High Courts in the administration of justice. Students became able to know the MANTRAS of success in the field of law like the legal profession has the potential to make a genuine difference in society. Increasing opportunities, multiple markets and cross border operations fueled by globalization are raising the complexity of business and the legal issues never seen before.
