RNB Global University organized a special programme to commemorate the 24th International Women’s Day on 8th March 2019.
The program began with speech by Ms. Apoorva Soni, B. Sc-IV, in which she pointed out to certain problems which women are facing in society, like women getting molested, the falling sex ratios, school dropouts, unwanted dowry related death, and especially atrocity towards women. The speech was followed by heart touching poetry by Mr. Bharat Tawania, Student of BBA-IV semester. Ms. Mandakani Joshi, Theatre artist and Radio Announcer, Akashvaani was the chief guest of the function. During her inaugural speech, she advised women to scale new heights in all the aspects of life. She also said that woman is the life giver to the whole human race and it is the responsibility of everyone to give her a respectable status and honour in society.
Dr. Nidhi Sharma, Gynaecologist, Associated with Fortis and SMS Jaipur, discussed important issues pertaining to women's health to have an understanding of breast cancer and the gynaecologic side effects. She also discussed many dimensions of Women health that addresses the special health care needs of women. It includes conditions more common, different, or unique to women. The program was then followed by Skit performed by Students of science and technology and dance performance by B.Sc. IV Semester students.
The program ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Pooja Singh, student of B.Sc-II semester, with the pledge to celebrate and salute women by looking at her as an individual; a wonderful person; independent of relationships against the prevailing paradigms of stereotypes, idolization and sacrifices!
