To welcome the young buds and fresh talent to the campus , RNB Global University, Bikaner inaugurated the Five-Day (1-5 August) Orientation Program for the session 2017/2018 on Tuesday. The program aimed to make new students get acquainted to university and its various working units thus presenting an interesting glimpse into the university world. The program was also an opportunity for the new students and their parents to interact with each other and the present students, faculty, staff and officials of the university.
The Hon’ble Vice Chairman, RNBGU Mr. Pramod Bajaj and Mrs .Namratta Bajaj along with other university officials lit the lamp in front of Goddess Saraswati - the muse of knowledge, wisdom and intellect; to seek her blessings. The Registrar Dr. M.K. Ghadoliya in his welcome address apprised the audience about the pursuit of academic excellence by the university and inspired the students to avail every opportunity of learning that is offered by the university. The Hon’ble Vice Chairman elevated the morale and enthusiasm of the students focusing on the significance of role of university for the academic and personal development. His dynamic speech catered a range of perspectives on success and progress in student life. He remarked that the students need to dream big and pursue it! Senior Professors of the university appraised the students with the core value of maintaining discipline, traits of success and vitality for attaining goals. Deputy Registrar RNBGU, Dr. Manjoo Saraswat briefed the freshers about varied events/activities planned for 5-day long orientation program.
The University believes that Human values, ethics play an important part in overall development of character and personality. Thus Professor K.K Bhatia highlighted the importance of human values with special focus on the values in education and career that every student must inculcate in life. The University has a rigid anti-ragging policy and Mr. Ashok Prem Assistant Professor made students aware of legalities and moral effects of ragging. Personality is not an external appearance, imbues human values, etiquette, and compassion you carry for your fellow beings: this was beautifully explained by the Dean SOBAS Dr. Kumud Sarin. This day was also a fun filled experience for the new students which was embedded by team based small indoor games like quiz, build words, skits and ice breaking session. As this was an opportunity to discover new talents; the student’s participated gay abandon. They were encouraged to be creative, to make new friends and to explore copious activities. It was an event to discover aesthetic and creative sides of the students. The coming days will be hued with miscellaneous activities focusing upon other important aspects of university life.
